WooRank alternatives for agencies (2026)
The short answer: WooRank audits a website and gives you a branded report to send. If that is what you use it for, the like-for-like alternatives are other audit-and-report tools: MetricSpot for the cheapest white-label PDFs, SiteGuru for a flat price across many sites, Morningscore or SE Ranking for a fuller SEO suite, My Web Audit and Insites for audits built to sell from. AltoRank is different: it does the work after the audit, the content and structured data that fix the site, with a person approving each publish. Eight tools below, each with its price and the job it wins.

The eight alternatives
1. AltoRank: the work after the audit
Ours, and not an audit tool in WooRank's sense, so read the rest of the page before weighing it. The free check scores nine signals of whether an AI assistant can read a site, with the fix for each, on a page you can send. After that AltoRank produces what the audit says is missing: structured data, and content researched and drafted in the client's voice, with a person approving each publish. Open source, free to self-host, €69/mo managed or €199/mo on Agency for unlimited client workspaces. Pick it if you answer for results after the report. Skip it if the report is the product you sell.
2. SiteGuru: a to-do list across many sites
Turns an audit into a prioritised list of fixes rather than a score. $49/mo for 5 websites, $99/mo for 15 and $199/mo for 50, billed monthly, each with 5,000 pages and 2,500 keywords per site. A 6-week free trial with no card, the longest on this page. Read from siteguru.co/pricing on 25 September 2026. The flat per-site-count pricing suits an agency with many small clients.
3. Morningscore: an easier all-in-one
Pitches itself as simpler than Semrush or Ahrefs while covering the core: site health, rank tracking, keyword research, links, and rankings in ChatGPT as well as Google. Lite $69/mo for 3 websites and 100 daily tracked keywords, Business $99/mo for 10 and 500, Pro $159/mo for 30 and 2,000, Premium $299/mo for 100 and 5,000. A 14-day free trial with no card. Read from morningscore.io/pricing on 25 September 2026.
4. MetricSpot: the cheapest white-label audit
The most direct replacement for WooRank's report-and-send use. A free plan with 10 audits a month; Starter $29/mo for up to 5 tracked domains, 50 audits and white-label PDFs; Pro $49/mo for unlimited audits and domains, scheduled re-audits and competitor comparison reports. The plan cards mark yearly billing and the FAQ quotes the same figures per month. Read from metricspot.com/pricing on 25 September 2026.
5. My Web Audit: audits built to close deals
Goes wider than SEO: website, SEO with AEO, Google Business Profile, e-commerce, landing page, page speed, accessibility and ROI audits, plus monthly client reports, with your own audit points added. Pro is $59/mo billed annually, $700 a year; other tiers did not show to a plain read of mywebaudit.com/pricing on 25 September 2026. The pick if the audit is a sales document for more than SEO.
6. Insites: audits for sales teams at volume
An annual subscription with unlimited users, unlimited lead-gen widgets and free report reuse, charged per audit, AI audit, local grid and tracked keyword you run, cheaper per unit as usage grows. No free tier and no monthly plan; pricing is set on a demo call. Read from insites.com/pricing on 25 September 2026. Built for a sales team selling from audits, not a freelancer sending one a month.
7. SE Ranking: the full suite
The step up when an audit tool stops being enough. Core €87.20/mo for 10 projects, 1 seat, 2,000 keywords and 100 AI prompts tracked daily, and 250,000 audited pages a month; Growth €188/mo for 30 projects, 3 seats, 5,000 keywords and 250 prompts, and 2 million pages. Those are the annual rates; month to month the page shows €109 and €235. A 14-day trial. Read from seranking.com/pricing on 25 September 2026.
8. Seobility: crawls and on-page checks, monthly
A crawler-first SEO tool with a free-forever plan. Paid plans are €59.90, €99.90 and €209.90 a month, each after a 14-day free trial, renewing monthly with no cancellation period, and extra projects sold separately. Read from seobility.net/en/pricing on 25 September 2026.
Not listed: Semrush, Moz and Ahrefs, which G2 names first for WooRank but which are full suites priced well above it.
One diagnoses, the other produces
WooRank describes itself, on its own agency page, as a way to quickly gather reliable website data to capture clients. The product matches the description: an instant Website Review of any URL, a site crawl for technical issues, keyword tracking, competitor comparison, GA4 in the reports, and the sales layer around it, which is white-label PDF reports, a lead-generation widget you embed on your own site, bulk reporting and a Chrome extension. It is built to help an agency win the account and show the client a score.
AltoRank starts where that report stops. It researches keywords per client, clusters them, drafts long-form content in that client's voice, routes each draft through an approval step, and publishes to the client's CMS. The audit it runs is narrower and different in kind: nine signals that decide whether an AI agent can read the site at all, each a pass or a fail with the exact fix, and the engine generates the missing JSON-LD, markdown twins and llms.txt itself rather than adding them to a to-do list.
So the honest framing is not "which one is better". It is "which job are you paying for". WooRank sells the diagnosis. AltoRank does the work the diagnosis calls for.
Two audits that measure different things
The one genuine overlap is the audit, and it is worth being precise about it. WooRank's Website Review scores a site for Google: on-page factors, off-page signals, technical health, mobile, usability. It has done this for years and it does it well. What it does not describe on its public pages is any check of whether ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI Overviews can parse the site and cite it.
That is the whole of AltoRank's check. A buyer who once typed a query into Google increasingly asks an assistant instead, and the assistant answers with the handful of sites it could read. A site that fails those nine signals is not in the running, however well it scores on a classic audit. The check is free, needs no account, and produces a page you can send to whoever owns the site.
If your clients' visibility problem is Google, WooRank's audit is the more complete one. If the problem is that they have vanished from AI answers, WooRank will not show you why.
Side by side
| Feature | AltoRank | WooRank |
|---|---|---|
| Built for | Agencies producing SEO and GEO content across a client roster | Agencies and sales teams auditing sites to win and retain clients |
| Core job | Research, draft, approve and publish long-form content per client | Instant website review, site crawl, keyword tracking, and a report to send |
| The audit | Nine AI-readability signals, pass or fail, each with the fix, on a page you can share | Website Review score across on-page, off-page and technical checks |
| What happens after the audit | The engine fixes what it can and produces the content the audit says is missing | The report is the deliverable; the work is yours |
| Sales tooling | A free public check, no signup, that a prospect can run on their own site | Lead-generation widget for your site, bulk reporting, Chrome extension, API |
| Per-client limits | A workspace per client, no per-project ceiling | 1 project on Pro, 5 on Premium, extra projects on Enterprise |
| Operating model | Every publish attributed to a person: a click, or a rule they set and can hold | Diagnostic tool, does not publish |
| Source code | Open source, self-hostable at no cost | Proprietary SaaS |
When WooRank is the better choice
- Your bottleneck is winning accounts, not serving them, and an instant branded audit is your best pitch.
- You want a lead-generation widget on your own site that hands you prospects who audited themselves.
- Clients want a classic technical and on-page score they recognise, delivered as a PDF under your logo.
- Content is produced elsewhere, by people you already pay, and you only need the diagnostics.
If you are comparing content-production tools specifically, the wider roundup lives on the alternatives hub, and the closest head-to-head is Outrank. Another audit-first tool that agencies compare against is rankingCoach.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a cheaper alternative to WooRank?
Yes. Read from each vendor’s own pricing page on 25 September 2026: MetricSpot has a free plan and paid plans from $29 a month, SiteGuru starts at $49 a month for 5 websites, and Seobility has a free plan and paid plans from €59.90 a month, against WooRank Pro at $79.99 a month on its Capterra listing. AltoRank’s AI-readability check is free with no signup.
What is the best WooRank alternative for agencies?
It depends on which half of WooRank you use. If you use it to audit a prospect’s site and send a branded PDF, the closest alternatives are other audit-and-report tools, and AltoRank is not one of them. If the audit is where your work starts rather than where it ends, AltoRank picks up from the audit: it scores AI readiness, generates the missing structured data, and then researches, drafts and publishes the content the site needs, with a person approving each piece.
Is AltoRank a direct replacement for WooRank?
No. WooRank is a diagnostic and sales tool: website reviews, keyword tracking, competitor comparison, white-label PDF reports and a lead-generation widget. AltoRank is a production tool: keyword research, drafting, editorial approval and publishing to the client CMS. The one place they overlap is the audit, and even there they measure different things. WooRank scores a site for search engines; AltoRank’s check scores it for AI agents.
How much does WooRank cost?
WooRank’s Capterra listing shows a Pro plan at $79.99 per month for one project, 50 tracked keywords and 2,500 crawled pages, and a Premium plan at $199.99 per month for five projects, 250 keywords and 10,000 pages, with an Enterprise plan on custom pricing. A free plan and a free trial are offered. These figures were read on 9 September 2026 from Capterra, because woorank.com renders its pricing client-side and did not return it to a plain request that day. Check WooRank’s own pricing page before quoting a client.
Does WooRank do AI search or GEO?
Not that its public pages document. WooRank’s agency page describes website reviews, site crawls, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, GA4 reporting and white-label reports, all oriented to Google search. It does not describe checking whether a site can be read by ChatGPT, Perplexity or AI Overviews, or tracking whether those engines cite it. AltoRank has a free nine-signal AI-readability check; an AI-mention tracker that checks whether ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity name the brand is built but not yet switched on. Of the audit tools on this page, Morningscore and SE Ranking also track rankings in ChatGPT or AI prompts.
Can I use WooRank and AltoRank together?
Yes, and for an agency that is the honest answer. WooRank is good at the top of the funnel: audit a prospect in seconds, send a branded report, win the account. AltoRank is for what comes after: producing the content and the structured data that the audit said were missing, month after month, across every client you won. They do not compete for the same budget line.
The audit WooRank does not run
WooRank scores a site for Google. This one scores it for the assistants your clients' buyers now ask: get a pass or fail on each of the nine AI-readability signals, each with the exact fix and a link you can share with whoever owns the site. No account needed.
Nine checks on the homepage, robots.txt, sitemap.xml and llms.txt. No account, no email gate, and a link you can share. The scoring is in the open-source code, so it can be read rather than trusted.
